Monique Ziegler is a West Auckland based artist who has been painting and exhibiting for over 20 years. Her work consistently features the wild beauty of the natural environment.
“I have always been intrigued by nature and enjoy observing and reflecting on the impact we as humans have on our environment.”
Monique’s work is inspired by her love of nature within the local landscape. Her current area of interest is raising awareness of the fragility of our natural environment, celebrating the elements not usually seen as beautiful, or having value.
Art education includes most recently; professional mentoring with Crowe Creative Art Services, working with a variety of contemporary practitioners at Browne School of Art, TC Fine Arts, and Artstation (now Studio One Toi Tu). Two of her realism style works were in the Emerging Artist Awards at Upstairs Gallery, Titirangi in 2016.
